Coopers Mills Medical Practice welcomes Alison Welsh, PA-C

WATERVILLE & COOPERS MILLS – Alison Welsh, PA-C will be joining the medical staff at Sheepscot Valley Health Center in Coopers Mills in February. She recently completed the Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant Program at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA.

Welsh is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. In 2005, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY.

"Prior to attending Arcadia University, I was a medical assistant in a primary care office, a technician in an emergency department and a member of local emergency medical services," said Welsh. "Working in these settings is what cultivated my interest in caring for patients.".

Originally from Vermont, her goal since beginning her training has been to return to a similarly rural area and focus on her primary clinical interest, family practice.

Ms. Welsh joins physicians Carol Eckert, Roy Miller, Kathryn Wistar and Lauren McClure as well as physician assistant Ann Schaer who provide medical care and preventive services to 5,000 residents of Jefferson, Somerville, Washington, Whitefield, Windsor, and surrounding communities.
