"I am looking forward to working with individuals and families in the family practice environment and watching families grow over the years," shares Guilmette who was raised and trained in Maine. She received Associate and Bachelor of Nursing degrees from University of Maine in Augusta and Fort Kent and a Master of Nursing degree from Husson University in Bangor. She is a member of the Maine Nurse Practitioner’s Association and board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Guilmette’s areas of clinical interest includes cardiology. She co-authored an article on preventing heart failure in women with hypertension that was published in the June 2008 issue of The American Journal for Nurse Practitioners. "Working at the health center will enable me to care for patients of all ages with a variety of needs, rather than being limited to one clinical area or age group," states Guilmette. The health center offers wellness exams and sports physicals and the providers treat all types of ailments including flu, sinus infections, work related injuries, sprains, common medical emergencies and chronic conditions. Guilmette joins Dr. Amethyst Arceo, DO in providing care to 1,800 area residents each year from many towns in Upper Kennebec Valley. These include Bingham, Caratunk, Embden, Moscow, Pleasant Ridge, Solon, The Forks, and West Forks. In addition, Lawrence Jacoby, DMD, MPH and Jacquelyn Arsenault-Watson, RDH provide dental services to the community.
