Bethel Family Health Center welcomes new medical provider

Bethel Family Health Center welcomes new medical providerBethel Family Health Center will be welcoming a new medical provider in February. Meredith (Merry) Moses, PA-C is a physician assistant who will provide medical care to patients at the health center.

Moses recently completed the Yale University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Connecticut. For her undergraduate degree, she obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in literature from Colgate University, NY in 1992. In addition, she obtained a Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree from the New England School of Acupuncture, MA in 2003. Her areas of clinical interest include family practice and emergency medicine.

"Working at Bethel will be a new experience for me. I am looking forward to providing care to patients and families of different generations and to exploring the natural beauty of Bethel," shares Moses. The health center offers a full array of primary care and preventive services for the whole family, including osteopathic manipulation, x-rays, laboratory services and physical therapy.

Moses joins two physicians, Richard DeCarolis, DO and Kevin Finley, DO as well as physician assistant, Jan Whitworth, PA who provide medical care to almost 4,000 residents and travelers each year from Andover, Bethel, Gilead, Greenwood, Hanover, Newry, Upton, and Woodstock, as well as the surrounding towns and other states.

Bethel Family Health Center is a practice of HealthReach Community Health Centers (HRCHC), a system of eleven federally qualified health centers in Central and Western Maine. Dedicated providers deliver high quality health care to citizens in over 80 rural communities.

To ensure access for everyone, HRCHC accepts major insurances and Medicare and MaineCare, offers an Affordable Care Program based on family size and income to uninsured and underinsured residents, and assist patients in enrolling in programs that help pay for health care and medications. A private, non-profit organization celebrating a 35-year history, HRCHC is funded by patient fees, grants and individual donations.
