Since 1986, Mt. Abram Regional Health Center in Kingfield has provided a full range of primary care to residents and travelers alike. In 2009, 1,553 residents from Carrabasset Valley, Coplin and Dallas Plantations, Eustis, Kingfield, New Portland, and Stratton, as well as other locations in Maine and beyond, utilized our services.

We offer check-ups for the entire family, care of acute and chronic conditions, referrals to specialty care and community services, and assistance with enrollment in programs that help pay for health, laboratory and prescriptions. In 1993, with the assistance of the Mt. Abram Regional Health Care Corporation, the board of committed local residents, the health center moved from its original home on Stanley Avenue to a more spacious location on Depot Street, the former Tranten Store.

Nestled at the base of Sugarloaf USA, Mt. Abram Regional Health Center is at the heart of Maine ski country. Besides its notoriety as the home of the Stanley Museum, which displays the historic Stanley Steamers, Kingfield has been called, "The most beautifully preserved ski town east of Aspen," by Ski magazine. Surrounded by soaring mountains and sparkling streams, the abundance of this area’s natural beauty provides year-round opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen.
