For over thirty years, the Lovejoy Health Center team of medical providers and clinical and administrative support staff has been dedicated to providing high quality health care. 4,365 area residents utilized our services in 2008 making us one of the largest and busiest practices in the HealthReach system. Our physicians also provide hospital care when needed at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville.

Since we opened in 1978, residents from the towns of Albion, China, Freedom, Palermo, Thorndike, Troy, Unity, and other surrounding communities have been utilizing Lovejoy Health Center for medical care. With the help of our supportive community board, we have expanded numerous times over the past three decades. Lovejoy offers a full range of primary care services including obstetrics. In addition, with the assistance of a federal grant, we provide a new model of care which more closely involves patients in their health care. This "Planned Care Model" has been very well received by patients and assists them in achieving better health outcomes.

Located in Central Maine, Lovejoy Health Center is in Albion, east of Waterville and west of Belfast, a coastal town. Locals and visitors alike appreciate our farming community, which is home to some of Maine’s largest dairy herds. The community is known for its scenic rolling hills and wide-open fields. A short commute provides residents with job opportunities, shopping centers, outdoor recreational adventures and cultural activities.
