As caregiver systems, Community Health Centers (CHCs) are an important part of the United States Public Health System. Since their inception in the early 1960s, Community Health Centers have worked closely with the communities they serve to identify unmet health care needs and to help meet those challenges. Today, CHCs care for more than 15 million patients annually in some of the nation's most rural and underserved areas. HealthReach is one of the many organizations that have been a part of the Community Health Center movement since the early days. In 1975, we opened our first center in the small community of Bingham, Maine. Since then we have expanded health care access across many central and western Maine communities. At HealthReach, we are proud of our medical and dental providers and the quality of care they deliver. Our experienced family practitioners focus on preventive care, developing partnerships with patients that enhance their overall health status. We serve patients from birth through retirement and beyond. In addition to our medical care, HealthReach now provides dental services at one location. At HealthReach, we strive to be good neighbors as well. In addition to making affordable health care available in the communities we serve, many of our staff members participate in volunteer opportunities in our local communities by serving on boards and task forces and donating our time for schools and local organizations. In addition, some of us play critical leadership roles in state of Maine initiatives. Our employees have a commitment to community and a desire to bring the best possible health care and education to our patients. I encourage you to peruse our website and visit frequently.
